This artisanal distillery was founded by Giovanni Rapa in 1880 in Valle Cervo, where it is still located today. Its main product was and is the original black cherry ratafià of Andorno, one of the oldest and most characteristic liquors of Piedmont. It’s a style that dates back to an ancient legend in which the people of Adorno were saved from the plague in the year 1000 by such a black cherry liquor.
