Located northwest of Nimes in the eastern portion of the Languedoc appellation, this estate was purchased by Veronique and Marcel Hermann in 1999. They bought the estate for its amazing potential. Situated at 200 meters above sea level, it has fantastic clay and limestone soil and a Mediterranean climate that is influenced by the famed mistral winds. It also has some tremendous low-yielding old vines planted in 1964. The Hermann’s follow quality-focused biodynamic practices and keeping yields low for concentration and complexity. The wines are fermented in lined concrete tanks that impart no woody flavors but still enhance the texture of the wines.
