Established in 1913 by Enrico Mandirola’s great-grandfather, Mandirola 1913 is a family-owned winery located in Casasco, within the Colli Tortonesi region of southeastern Piedmont, Italy. The estate began as a small farm cultivating grapes, wheat, and corn, and over the past century, it has expanded to encompass 30 hectares, with 11 hectares dedicated to vineyards.

Mandirola 1913 is renowned for its commitment to the Timorasso grape, an indigenous white variety known for its complexity and aging potential. Notably, the estate possesses the oldest known plantings of Timorasso in the Colli Tortonesi, located in the historic Tantèi vineyard. These ancient vines were instrumental in the late 1980s revival of Timorasso, providing massale selections that helped rescue the grape from near extinction.

Under the guidance of current owner and winemaker Enrico Mandirola, the winery employs sustainable farming practices, focusing on low intervention and eco-friendly methods. The vineyards are predominantly planted with Timorasso, Barbera, and Croatina, reflecting the region’s traditional varietals.
