Founded by iconic Oregon winemaker Lynn Penner-Ash in 2002, Dusky Goose is nestled in the majestic Dundee Hills AVA between the protective rain shadow of the Oregon Coast Range to the west and the majestic Cascade Range to the east. The nine acre estate vineyard, named Rambouillet, is the star of the show. Planted to a mix of late season ripening Dijon clones of pinot noir on south-facing slopes in the rich, volcanic Jory soils, the wines showcase why this AVA is famous for pinots that have benchmark elegance, superior balance and enduring ageability. Dusky Goose is known amongst wine advocates and collectors across the U.S. as the best kept secret in Willamette Valley. Despite intentionally keeping a low profile over the years, the winery has earned a reputation for crafting some of the highest quality, age-worthy wines in Oregon. Famed vineyard manager Andy Humphries watches over and meticulously cares for the vines using responsible farming practices to preserve the purity of Rambouillet vineyard. L.I.V.E. Certified Sustainable and Salmon Safe, Dusky Goose is committed to the philosophy that great wines begin in the vineyard. Lynn Penner-Ash is now supported by the talents of Hans Van Dale (previously at Andrew Rich Wines) and remains involved with every step of the process from harvest through bottling. They are in the process of launching a new facility in Carlton and have introduced a second label, ‘Rambeaux’, harvested from select sites within Dundee Hills and the the Yamhill-Carlton district.
