Domaine Rougeot Père et Fils, situated in the heart of Meursault, Burgundy, is a family-owned estate spanning 13 hectares across appellations including Meursault, Monthélie, Saint-Romain, Pommard, and Volnay. Established in the 19th century by Pierre-Henri’s great-grandfather, the domaine has a rich history of winemaking. Since 2010, Pierre-Henri Rougeot has led the estate, representing the sixth generation of the family to do so.
Under Pierre-Henri’s guidance, the estate has embraced organic farming practices, achieving organic certification in 2020, with a transition to biodynamic methods initiated in 2021.
The domaine is renowned for producing wines with minimal intervention and low sulfur usage, striking a balance between natural wine approaches and traditional Burgundian techniques. Each vineyard parcel is vinified separately, allowing the unique terroir of each site to be fully expressed.
The estate’s 18th-century stone cellar, originally built for the Hospices de Beaune, has been renovated to accommodate modern winemaking while preserving historical charm. This blend of tradition and innovation enables Domaine Rougeot Père et Fils to craft wines that are precise, energetic, and reflective of their Burgundy heritage.
