Domaine Fichet is situated in Burgundy in a small village named Igé, and more exactly to the hamlet Le Martoret. The domaine is currently run by brothers Pierre-Yves (vineyard manager) and Olivier (winemaker). Established in 1976, Domaine Fichet started when Francis Fichet (the brothers father) withdrew from the town co-op and began to make wines from his estate vi- neyards. The brothers took it over in 1988. The terroir at Domaine Fichet is unique. It has a high content of white limestone in the chalk and clay and the morning fog brings extra humidity to the microclimate. The Mâcon Villages has a perfect balance of concentration, acidity and minerality.
