The DESERTAUX-FERRAND was founded in 1899 by Amable DESERTAUX, a Beaune dealer in building materials. He built an entire domaine including house, cellar and winery, and the estate covered around 3 hectares, a figure which barely changed over 60 years. Today the estate remains in the family and is currently run by Christine, her brother Vincent and his wife Geneviève. Since 2000 the size of the estate has increased to 14 ha through the addition of Beaune 1er Cru, Pommard, Meursault 1er Cru and Ladoix. Their wines have been regular award winners in France and England.
Vincent won the coveted award of “Young Winemaker of the Year” in Burgundy in 2004 and the wines reflect his special care and passion.
