Founded around 1860 in Restigné in the heart of Bourgueil, Domaine des Mailloches is one of the oldest estates in the appellation. Eight generations of winegrowers have cared for the lands and today Samuel Demont and his family look after 27 hectares of Cabernet Franc.
The vineyard is managed with respect to the soil (gravel, clay/limestone) and the environment (grassing between the rows, tillage, rigorous pruning, selective disbudding to control the vigor of the vine and obtain an optimum concentration of aromas and color).
The estate is practicing sustainable agriculture and is certified HVE3 since the 2019 vintage. The estate has even launched its organic certification and will be certified organic for 2023 vintage.
