The Manuel Formigo winery was born as the next generation of the Formigo de la Fuente family, which for generations maintained a close relationship with viticulture and wine making in Ribeiro.
In 2006 the family returned to their origins, beginning to make wines exclusively with grapes from their own vineyards, comprising 6 hectares of land where almost all the native varieties of the Ribeiro region are grown. White varieties include Treixadura, Godello, Loureira, Caiño Blanco, Torrontés, Albariño, Alvilla do Avia and Palomino. Red varieties we include Caiño longo, Sousón, Brancellao and Alicante Bouschet varieties.
