For 8 generations, the Miquel family has been making wine at Chateau Cazal Viel in the Languedoc region of southern France. The latest family winemaker has a very distinct personal style and strives to create exceptional wines that are balanced, elegant, and have crisp minerality, while also perfectly capturing the true character of the region. For Laurent, wine is above all purely a matter of vines and terroir: low-yields, hard work in the vineyard, and respect for the land are essential to success. This passion and dedication creates wines that surprise and delight those who taste them. Together with his Irish wife, Laurent is creating his own chapter in this long history which he, in turn, will pass on to his children.
