For Andrew Jones, being employed at a vine nursery has its perks. In planting and planning vineyards for grape growers throughout California, this passionate winemaker finds himself with access to small lots of fruit from amazing places and interesting people. His “Field Recordings” are his personal records of those people and places, captured in bottle for you to experience. “Fiction” wines are his own stories extracted from those same sites. A true visionary, Andrew can’t be held to a single project or a single label and his range of exciting beverages continues to grow on a seemingly daily basis. His book is filled with unfined, unfiltered wines, ciders and the in-between and an obvious preference for old, own-rooted vineyard sources. Andrew uses all native yeast for fermentations, not because he is caught up in a popular trend, but because he feels this is the best way to showcase the terroir. His wines are bright, lifted, show great typicity and are the type of wines that disappear all too quick at a party.
